Another vegetation fire has been added to the list of deliberately lit fires being investigated by police in Invercargill.

Invercargill firefighters were called to a small fire in Princes St at 1am this morning.

A fire communications spokesman said the fire had been referred to police.

Senior Sergeant Bruce Terry said police confirmed the latest fire would be added to the investigation file.

Two deliberately lit fires at Kew Bush on January 16 had taken the number of suspicious fires to 12 in the Kew and Kingswell area since January 11, police said.
