Thousands are expected to flock to the showgrounds for the annual Gore A&P Show today.
A&P Association president Hamish MacKay said the forecast good weather was expected to help, and there were a variety of events scheduled.
"As a rural community, we make our living in the country - but we spend in the town. The show kind of says thanks to the town and community that supports us."
Mr Roy said preparations for the weekend had mostly gone smoothly.
"There's always going to be that one little thing that goes wrong, but nothing to really faze us."
The show is on from 8am till 5pm and costs $25 for a family pass, $5 for children, and is free for under-5s.
