Armed police were called to a domestic dispute early this morning at a Centre St house in Invercargill.
Acting Senior Sergeant Pete Graham said the armed offenders squad was called to a domestic incident at 2am following threats made by a 33-year-old male.
The male was arrested and is expected to appear in the Invercargill District Court today.
In other police news, a man was arrested for dropping his pants in front of police officers in Kaitangata on Saturday.
Senior Constable Tom Taylor, of Balclutha police, said the man, known to police, and a second man dropped their pants and bared their bottoms to a passing police car.
The second male was issued a summons, he said.
Both men will appear in the next sitting of the Balclutha Court, Mr Taylor said.
