Two people were taken to Southland Hospital with minor injuries after a crash near Josephville yesterday.
Constable Blair Dalton said a truck towing another vehicle on a trailer lost control and rolled while driving down a hill yesterday afternoon.
The Lumsden-Dipton Highway was closed for about an hour.
Meanwhile, an Indian man whose poor driving through the Kawarau Gorge sparked several complaints to police was arrested on Saturday.
He will appear in court on Tuesday charged with dangerous driving.
Acting sergeant Brian Fitzgerald said several complaints about poor driving were received from motorists at the weekend.
"We've had lots of calls and complaints about people crossing the centre line, mainly on the road between Queenstown and Cromwell."
