Fire crews from Mossburn, Lumsden, Dipton and Athol spent nearly four hours fighting a fire along a tree lane on a rural property near Mossburn yesterday.
Mossburn chief fire officer Lance Hellewell said the 400 metre long and 6m wide fire was brought under control about 8pm.
Three tankers, two pumps and a rural appliance responded to the fire on Chewings Rd just after 4pm.
A tractor was also used to create a fire break in the line of trees and special forestry firefighting equipment had to be used to subdue the fire.
