Green MPs Jan Logie and Denise Roche will speak at a public meeting in Invercargill tomorrow night, as part of their False Economy tour.
The Invercargill meeting - called False Economy: The High Cost of the Low Wage Economy - will be held at the meeting room at the Invercargill library from 7 to 9pm and will feature a range of presentations from unions, women's organisations, beneficiaries, disabled peoples' organisations, the Pasifika community and others who will talk about their experiences of the impact of the governments pursuit of a low wage economy.
Ms Roche said many people on low incomes were under stress and the talks would outline what happened in communities because of that.
Similar events have already been held in Hamilton, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin and Wellington.
