Spirit of Queenstown heads for KingstonAMANDA PARKINSON
Queenstown's newest attraction has begun its freight journey from Bluff to Kingston.
The multi-million-dollar catamaran Spirit of Queenstown left Bluff at 9am and was sighted on Dee St, Invercargill at 10.15.
The 60-tonne oversized load needed to have both its top level and engine removed in preparation for transport.
Manufactured in Brisbane, Australia, its journey towards Kingston began last Tuesday. It is scheduled to make its maiden voyage in Queenstown Bay by the end of this week.
