A craft event, which featured knitting, crochet, origami, embroidery and patchwork, attracted 40 people at Invercargill Library yesterday.

The Crafternoon Tea  featured crafts including knitting, crochet, origami, embroidery and patchwork.

Participants had the opportunity to try out a new craft, and also show their own efforts, Invercargill Library research librarian Vonnie Crawford.

Yesterday's event was the first to be held at the library.

A second would be held in two weeks, with a decision then made on whether to make it a regular on the library calendar.
