Arrests over Gore attack

Two women have been arrested in relation to an alleged assault on a mother of two in Gore on Wednesday night.

Sergeant Greg Ballantyne, of Gore, said the alleged offenders were both from Gore and were facing charges of injuring with intent.

Police were still conducting a scene examination and inquiries were continuing, Mr Ballantyne said.

The attack happened in Hamilton Pl about 8.30pm and left the victim, who was at home with her teenage children, with facial injuries.

She was taken to Gore Hospital for treatment.
