James Hargest College pupils got into the spirit of the school's book day yesterday.

James Hargest College library manager Kirsty Adam said the annual book parade day, where year 13 pupils dress up as their favourite book characters, was held to celebrate the end of library week.

Pupils and some teachers had dressed up as a wide variety of characters, including Powerpuff girls, hobbits and characters from V for Vendetta, she said.
