An Arrowtown man affected by synthetic cannabis turned violent and uncontrollable, police said yesterday.
Senior Constable Chris Blackford, of Queenstown, said police were called at 5pm on Tuesday to help St John staff with a patient.
The man was described as aggressive and uncontrollable, having seizures and passing out.
"By the time police arrived he had come to. The ambulance officers determined he was OK. It appears that he had taken some synthetic high."
Meanwhile, at 3.30am yesterday, two people were arrested after incidents in McDonald's restaurant in Camp St. A British man, 25, and a 24-year-old New Zealand woman were charged with disorderly behaviour. Both were released with pre-charge warnings.
