An 83-year-old Southland woman who went missing from a Southland town last night has been found today.
Police were this morning asking the public to help find Riversdale woman Phyllis Robertson.
Mrs Robertson went missing from the town at about 10pm last night.
They held fears for her welfare and believed she may be confused due to a medical condition. Police believed she might be attempting to travel to Gore or Queenstown, but said she did not have a vehicle.
They urged Riversdale residents to check their properties and outbuildings.
This afternoon, police released a statement saying Mrs Robertson had been found safe and well in Riversdale.
''She is now safe.''
