The woman believed to be the oldest in New Zealand has died.
Maudie Wilson died yesterday, five months before what would have been her 111th birthday.
Mrs Wilson was raised in Invercargill and had lived in both Hyde and Riverton before settling in Clyde, where she and her family lived for 75 years.
Two years ago she moved to Vickery Court, in Invercargill, after falling and hurting her hip.
Mrs Wilson had three children, nine grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
