Battle of the Dome fundraiser is back
The Lumsden versus Mossburn Battle of the Dome fundraiser, to be held at the Mossburn Community Centre on November 16, will be a rematch after Mossburn took the trophy home at their previous meet in July.
The night will bring together talented performers, quirky activities and some seriously odd auctions.
Auction items range from rally car drives to romantic weekends away - even a vasectomy.
All proceeds will go towards community organisations such as the Northern Southland Toy Library and the Lumsden Pool.
Event facilitator Gerry Forde said the event aimed to benefit "practically everyone".
"The rivalry creates the drama of the night but it all finishes with everyone partying together and toasting a great night out and a windfall for community organisations," Mr Forde said.
Tickets are available from Bracken Hall in Mossburn and the Route 6 cafe in Lumsden.
