The Invercargill Netball Centre will playoff for 17th to 32nd place at the NZ U17 Championships in Pukekohe.

The Invercargill Netball Centre's under-17 team has missed out on the quarterfinals at the NZ championships in Pukekohe.

They weren't able to emulate the Invercargill Netball Centre under-19 side's recent achievement of making it to the national top-eight last week.

The U17 southerners picked up one win and three losses from their four round robin matches to enter the playoffs for places 17-32 on Wednesday.

Their only victory of the group stages was a 45-34 win over Ko Rua, while they lost to Taranaki 44-18, Auckland 58-16 and Pukekohe 52-20 to finish fourth in Pool B.
