Two men have appeared in Dunedin District Court following an alleged assault on a 65-year-old woman in her Kaka Point home.
The South Otago men, 19 and 33, appeared in court yesterday afternoon.
Their names were suppressed.
Meanwhile, 65-year-old Pamela Paterson remains in a stable condition in Dunedin Hospital.
The Kaka Point woman was taken to hospital with facial injuries on Sunday night.
Police say two men, with their faces concealed, entered her home and assaulted her, before running away.
Nothing was taken from the home.
Detective Sergeant Kate Bartlett said police appreciated the information they had received from the public so far, but were still keen to hear from anyone with information about the matter.
