Invercargill's $1 house is back on the market but it's not the only one.
The three-bedroom house in Tweed St was advertised on Trade Me with an asking price of just $1. But it was cheap because the new owner would have to remove it from the property at their expense.
Transit homes manager Bill McNamara, a house remover, said he had agreed to buy the Tweed St house and on-sell it.
He had a contract to buy the home subject to third party interest but the potential new buyers had pulled out, he said.
He was again trying to sell it, he said.
The home would cost about $30,000 to move, depending on where it was going.
Mr McNamara was also trying to sell two other $1 homes with the same removal deal in George St in Windsor.
The Tweed St house is owned by the Greenvale Group Ltd, which operates Rose Lodge Rest Home and Retirement Village next door.
Rose Lodge regional manager Janine Lovett said there had been continuous interest in the house.
''It'll go to the right person at the right time,'' she said.
