Christmas for one Southlander just got a whole lot more cheerful after winning a share of Lotto First Division.
Instead of sleigh bells, the winner will be dancing to the jingle of money bags to the tune of $250,000.
The winning ticket was bought from Whitcoulls Invercargill.
A store employee said no-one had claimed the prize up to mid-afternoon yesterday. The regional Lotto manager could not be reached for comment yesterday.
The Lotto success continued at the weekend with a player who bought a ticket at Paper Plus Winton, who is one of 13 winners taking home a share in second division worth $20,574.
