Car hits tree in Clutha Valley

One person has been flown to Dunedin Hospital with serious injuries after their car hit a tree.

A fire communications spokesman said the Balclutha fire crew attended the crash and one person had to be cut from the car after it ran into a tree on Pannetts Rd in the Clutha Valley about 1.30am. 

An ambulance communications spokesman said the driver was flown to Dunedin Hospital with moderate to serious injuries.
