Glenham will be buzzing next weekend as people arrive from throughout Southland for the annual Glenham Trainwreck Trail.
The trail has three options for competitors include a 10km family run, walk or bike, a 21km mountainbike or run and the popular 43km mountainbike or run.
Organiser Guy Michaels said this year the option to run the 43km track was available after there had been a large amount of interest for the option in previous years.
One of the trail's attractions is the historic Glenham tunnel, which competitors pass through.
''The tunnel is a big attraction for families, kids love going through it in the pitch black,'' he said.
This year there would again be no postponement day, so the event will go on rain, hail or shine.
''People don't seem to mind, the weather doesn't seem to worry any of the competitors.''
The fourth annual Trainwreck would again be donating the proceeds to Glenham School, which puts the money towards camps.
Mr Michaels said last year the event attracted about 180 competitors and had raised $5000 for the school after costs.
Entries are available now and on the day.
