Emergency services were called to a crash near Clyde on Saturday after a vehicle hit a crash barrier.
Andrew Norris, of the Fire Service southern communications, said emergency services were called to the crash on the Cromwell-Clyde road at 4.30pm.
Initial reports indicated a caravan had gone over a bank but when emergency services arrived they found a caravan was caught on the wire safety fence, he said.
All three occupants of the towing vehicle suffered minor injuries.
