Tractor split in two
@devlincolle: Emergency services have been called to a crash on the Bluff Highway near Greenhills.
The crash between a tractor and a car happened just before noon.
Invercargill acting senior sergeant Peter Graham said the tractor had been cut in half.
A firefighter said the tractor driver has been transported to hospital and another ambulance has arrived for the driver of the car. It is not known what condition they are in.
The firefighters are covering oil on the road so they can reopen State Highway 1, where traffic jams have built up on both sides.
