Fun for the whole family is what Camp Columba camp manager Bruce O'Brien is hoping for this weekend in the annual community family day.

The event had been running for three years as a way for the camp to give back to the community.

Activities on offer for the day include the flying fox, speed slide and many more.

Mr O'Brien said people from Invercargill to Dunedin have turned out for the event in previous years and they were hoping r families would bring their children out for the day and enjoy all that will be on offer.

More than 20 volunteers are organised for the day to ensure everything runs smoothly.

"This way people will get a glimpse of what we do out at Camp Columba," Mr O'Brien said.

Entry into the family day is free.

"We hope families can come along and have some fun for the day," Mr O'Brien said.
