Southern Lotto ticket strikes it rich
There could be champagne flowing somewhere in the south after a ticket bought from an Invercargill dairy won Lotto Strike on Saturday.
The ticket, bought from the Collingwood Foodcentre in Waikiwi, won its owner $758,976.
Lotto communications spokeswoman Emilia Mazur said yesterday that the ticket had not yet been claimed.
"Its not unusual for tickets not to be claimed straight away. Some people have a habit of just checking weekly or when they buy a new one," she said.
The almost $21 million Powerball wasn’t struck. First division went to players in Tauranga and Auckland, who both won $500,000.
