A pilot had a lucky escape when a light aircraft flipped and landed on its roof in Cromwell on Saturday.
A fire service spokesman said the incident happened at the Cromwell Racecourse about 10.45am.
The pilot suffered minor injuries.
It was not known whether the plane flipped during takeoff or landing, but there were no passengers, the spokesman said.
