An elderly couple were allegedly assaulted by a Gore man after the Gibbston summer concert on Saturday.
Sergeant Mark Gill, of Queenstown, yesterday said police were continuing to investigate the incident and more charges could be laid.
A 32-year-old Gore man was charged with assault with intent to injure after an incident on State Highway 6, Gibbston, at 8pm. The man allegedly assaulted the elderly pair on the highway after the concert.
Police said no other details were available and no other arrests related to the gig with rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd, Starship featuring Mickey Thomas and 10cc.
Police also arrested four men from Canterbury after they allegedly assaulted a bouncer in central Queenstown.
The four, in their 20s, were denied entry to a Cow Ln bar at 11.25pm on Saturday. The bouncer did not suffer any serious injuries, all four men were charged with assault and bailed to appear in the Queenstown District Court.
