Invercargill Brewery will be appearing at the city’s first craft beer festival this weekend, after initially being snubbed by organisers.
In February, The Southland Times reported Invercargill Brewery had not been invited to the inaugural South City Liquorland Craft Beer and Food Festival, despite breweries from Christchurch, Wellington and Dunedin receiving invitations.
At the time, Liquorland South City Invercargill manager Jim Mortimer declined to comment on why he had not invited Invercargill Brewery when the business he managed sold its beer.
However, a post on the Invercargill Brewery Facebook page this week indicates the brewery will now be attending the festival.
"Check out Invercargill Brewery boysenbeery beer (and a few others) with Steve Nally at the South City Liquorland Craft Beer and Food Experience at the Squash Courts," the post says.
It also links Brewery fans to the festival’s official page on the Liquorland South City website.
