LATEST: A body found at a Queenstown holiday home at the weekend is believed to have been there at least six days before being discovered
Senior constable Chris Blackford said scant details were available because there had been issues with the man's identity ''due to the nature of decomposition''.
The body was found at a Tucker Beach Road property on Saturday around noon, and had been there six or seven days, he said.
Queenstown senior sergeant John Fookes confirmed the man had not been formally identified.
The Coroner's Office was unable to supply any further information except that the case was being dealt with by Christchurch coroner Richard McElrea.
In the original version of this story Hindle was listed as a board member of Wellington's Capital and Coast District Health Board, and the chairman of the board's finance, audit and risk committee, as well as holding the same positions with the Hutt Valley District Health Board. He served three terms with both boards, with his last term expiring in December 2013.
