With the beer and pastry-wrapped goodness up to par, Arrowtown's Autumn Festival's Pint and Pie event is all set for tomorrow.

The opening weekend of the 30th annual festival will herald the beginning of over 50 events stretching on until next Sunday. The Southland Times street parade usually results in packed streets and kicks off at 2pm today.

Diversity is offered in spades, with a musical, arts and crafts, daily street entertainment with the Arrow Miner's Band and can-can girls The Buckingham Belles, guided historical walks, a musical, an aerobatic display, an art exhibition, a vintage car rally, gold panning, and a variety concert.
