Court, police and the partner of a man who repeatedly breached his protection order were "fed up", the Invercargill District Court was told yesterday.

John Steven Simeon, 53, unemployed, appeared before Judge Kevin Phillips for sentence on two charges of breaching a protection order on September 24 and October 8 and one of breaching community work on August 3.

Judge Phillips said Simeon's record of breaching protection orders was fast approaching "horrendous."

He had five previous convictions for the same breach, the latest being in July, Judge Phillips said.

"The court, police and particularly your partner are fed up with you," he said.

"All your partner wants is to be left alone. She's does not say you're a bad guy, she just says you're a pain."

Judge Phillips sentenced Simeon to ten months' jail for the two breaches of protection order.

He sentenced him to a further months' jail for breaching his community work.
