Court
A 19-year-old man accused of pushing a cyclist off his bike has been remanded to appear in Invercargill District Court on April 24.
Jason Charles Adamson, 19, is charged with injuring with intent to injure. He was to appear in the court this week but was given a registrar's remand to April 24.
Police allege Adamson opened the window of the car he was in, reached out and whacked the handlebars out of the bike rider's hands, causing him to fly over the handlebars, on Sunday.
Assault
Blain Christopher Johnstone, 27, dairy worker, of Seaward Downs, was sentenced to 200 hours' community work and disqualified from driving for a year for assaulting a female, driving carelessly and with a breath alcohol level of 627mcg on March 23.
Nathan David Townsend, 39, furniture remover, was remanded to May 29 for sentence for assaulting a female on March 21.
Otene John Valentine Abraham, 24, of Mabel Bush, was fined $150 for assault on March 20.
Christopher Thomas Johnstone, 28, farm hand, was remanded to April 27 for assault on March 29.
John David Malcolm Savage, 23, was sentenced to 12 months' jail for assaulting a female on December 9, assaults, threatening to injure with intent to intimidate and resisting police, between January 25 and 26.
Theft
Jasmin Rhiannon Askew-Rimes, 28, baker, was sentenced to 60 hours' community work and ordered to pay $49.20 reparation for stealing from Pak 'n Save on March 14.
Rory Anton Edwards, 29, was sentenced to six months' home detention and ordered to pay $255 reparation for stealing from Elles Rd New World between February 9 and March 9, breaching release conditions on January 18 and standard/special release conditions on January 23, assault and breaching a protection order on August 14.
Intentional damage
Stratuss-Lee Svensson, 19, truck driver, was remanded to May 29 for sentence for intentionally damaging a door and a vehicle and damaging a home with intent to intimidate on March 27.
Burglary
Anton Rautahi, 17, was remanded to May 30 for sentence for burglary on January 18.
Michael Graham Waddell, 27, forest worker, was sentenced to two years' jail for burglary on January 25.
Disorderly behaviour
Dale William Gilbert, 19, dairy worker, of Waikouro, was fined $1500 for behaving in a disorderly manner likely to cause violence and resisting police on April 1.
Threatening to kill
Eddie Malcolm Williams, 33, was sentenced to two months' jail for threatening to kill on December 14.
False statement
James David Wicks-Cairns, 21, was remanded to May 29 for sentence for making a statement that would amount to perjury if made an oath in a judicial proceeding, and stealing a vehicle, on March 10.
Driving
Katu Tarangi Apu, 48, of Bluff, was fined $400 and disqualified from driving for eight months for driving dangerously on February 5.
Ashley John Weller, 21, bushman, of Ryal Bush, was fined $600 and disqualified for six months for driving with sustained loss of traction and with a breath alcohol level of 486mcg on March 18.
Karlton Saies, 29, forest worker, was fined $300 and disqualified for six months for driving while disqualified on March 14.
Kate Elizabeth Sandri, 18, receptionist, was fined $200 and disqualified for six months for operating a vehicle in an unnecessary exhibition of speed on March 28.
Drink-driving
Rufus Pieper, 27, was fined $400 and disqualified from driving for six months for driving with a breath alcohol level of 546mcg on March 24.
Steven James Coutts, 19, painter, 182mcg on March 29. Fined $150 and disqualified for three months.
Darrel Raniera Thomas, hammer hand, 885mcg on April 1. Remanded to May 29 for sentence.
Eli Raphael David Baker, 21, 716mcg on March 30. Fined $575 and disqualified for six months.
Nicholas John Garraway, 27, 692mcg on March 8. Sentenced to 80 hours' community work and disqualified for six months.
Jonathan Kevin Gillespie, 26, 801 mcg on March 24. Fined $1500 and disqualified for for seven months.
Raymond Keith Henderson, 51, 803mcg on March 29. Sentenced to 100 hours' community work and disqualified for eight months.
Charlotte Tawa, 22, 746mcg on March 30. Fined $575 and disqualified for six months.
