An Invercargill man who dropped his shorts, bent over and exposed his bare buttocks to a Fish and Game ranger was fined when he appeared in Invercargill District Court yesterday.

Shaun Norton McLauchlan, 24, appeared before Judge John MacDonald yesterday and was fined $1250 for obstructing a ranger in the execution of his duty and fishing without a licence.

He was convicted and discharged for failing to give his true name and address to a ranger and behaving in an offensive manner.

All offending occurred at Manapouri on October 5.
