The accused in an alleged home invasion case in Dunedin on Monday has been remanded in custody without plea.

The 21-year-old unemployed man, who earlier this week was remanded in custody on a charge of grievous bodily harm, appeared in Dunedin District Court this morning before Judge Dominic Flatley on further charges of attempted murder, sexual violation and aggravated entry to the victim's home.

Judge Flatley granted the accused continued name suppression because of the extra charges, the lack of disclosure and pending a general report into the man's history. He was remanded in custody until December 7.
