An Invercargill jury has found a man not guilty of assault. Jesse Cherri was on trial in the Invercargill District Court for wounding Daniel Eden with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on December 2.

The trial started on Monday before Judge Kevin Phillips.

After one hour and 40 minutes of deliberations yesterday the jury found Cherri not guilty.
