Two people died when the car they were in hit a bridge at Flatbush in Manukau City tonight, a Fire Service spokeswoman said.

She told NZPA that police and firefighters were still at the accident scene on Chapel Road after the 9.15pm crash and the two people who had died were trapped in the wreckage.
