From your story ''Out with the shotgun, in with the stilettos'' (May 12), it would appear that the primary aspiration of the National candidate for Invercargill is to ''troop around Parliament in my stilettos'', and be known for it.

Please, with the upcoming election any candidate should be focusing on the local issues and what they can do to assist the people of Invercargill as their prospective MP, not smile-and-wave politics.
