OPINION: Invercargill is very lucky to have an asset like the Southern Institute of Technology. It is doing a great job organising many interesting activities for orientation week every year.

However, the Eat Off competition is an activity I dislike.

There are many obese people in the Western World, who should be encouraged to eat less, not more and fast.

I hope for next year this activity is off the orientation week menu.
