OPINION: To change or not to change?

I feel that while the country is still coming to terms with the earthquakes floods and drought we should leave the flag as is.

We do not have the funds to support the change and there are far too many people out their struggling to feed, clothe, educate and house their families.

I'm pleased that John Key has withheld the idea of a referendum at the election - I'm sure he is well aware of the multimillions of dollars it would cost to make an unnecessary change.

This money needs to go into the grassroots to educate and assist those struggling and willing to make change to their lifestyles.

Let's concentrate on this aspect and on doing a job well.

When we have surplus funds, then we can have the luxury of making the change. But in the meantime let's get our country's welfare sorted.
