Live Patron ready to roll

Live Patron resumes racing at Gore today after having two kidney stones removed last month.
Branxholme trainers Ron and Julie McEwan called in veterinarian Mike Brown when noticing Live Patron had difficulty urinating.
Brown removed the stones "as big as cherries,'' Ron McEwan said.
Live Patron was rested for a week before he resumed training. He was unplaced at the Gore trials on Wednesday but the outing should have sharpened him for today's Second Kubala Seeds Gore Pace.
Balfour trainer Shane Matheson has arranged for his partner Lisa Barrie to be in charge of his three-horse team at Gore.
Matheson and Barrie are busy with their sheep crutching business. They and their workers crutched 1100 sheep at Browns yesterday and are booked to do 850 at Balfour today.
Annie Get Your Gun, who is Matheson's runner in the Gore Workouts Committee Trot, was bought unraced by Tim Grant, of Milton, two months ago.
The five-year-old daughter of Malabar Maple began her racing career at Forbury Park on Thursday night. She pleased her connections by running third and finishing three and a-quarter lengths from winner Murphy's Mate.
Jaccka Limon and Make It Brief carry Matheson's hopes in the Mataura Licensing Trust Pace.
Despite racing below his best at Forbury Park, Jaccka Limon is considered by Matheson as his main chance today.
Driver Andrew Suddaby told Matheson that Jaccka Limon did not feel right at Forbury Park. He wound up 10th of 11.
"He was a bit off colour but seems all right now,'' Matheson said. "The drop in class will help him (today).
