The Southland Times needs some help with the Ranfurly Shield book, Our Team – Our Shield.
We need you to order the book now rather than wait in the hope of buying it in a bookshop. The trouble is, you'll miss out if you wait.
The number of copies printed will be based on the number of books pre-ordered. The only way to make sure you get enough copies of this milestone book – for yourself and to give away as Christmas gifts – is to order now.
It won't be for sale in book shops and it's unlikely there will be a reprint.
Our Team – Our Shield is a high-quality 50-page publication looking back at that momentous game in Christchurch when the Southland Stags lifted the Log of Wood for the first time in 50 years. It's full of pictures from the game and interviews about the lead-up and aftermatch celebrations.
Sports editor Nathan Burdon has written the text, with the layout and design by Stags fanatics and Times staffers Chris Chilton and Shaun Yeo.
It will be a must-have for anyone interested in rugby, the Stags or Southland.
Orders close on Thursday.
Don't be like the Canterbury rugby team and wish you'd done something sooner.
