Rally motorcyclists to gather toys

Burt Munro Challenge motorcyclists will do their bit for underprivileged families in Southland tomorrow when they participate in the 22nd annual Grover Chasers Toy Run.
About 180 riders from this year's event will depart from the Southland Rodeo grounds, opposite the Burt Munro Challenge rally site, at 9am, then make their way to Wyndham for the final event on the Burt Munro weekend calendar – the Wyndham Street Race.
The entry fee for the run is a toy or non-perishable food item or a $5 minimum cash donation, with all proceeds going to the Salvation Army.
Upon arrival in Wyndham, organiser Stephen Hackett said the Salvation Army would be presented with a "big pile of toys and a bucket of cash".
