Arrowtown band The Lynch Mob has been signed to close the NZ PGA Pro-Am golf tournament's first open-air concert night at Sir Michael Hill's plush golf course.
The band, with a host of Lynch family members forming its backbone, is no stranger to open-air events, having played an exclusive gig on Cecil Peak's summit.
The Saturday night concert in early March will take place in a natural amphitheatre on the course grounds, and will be headlined by rising pop songstress Jamie McDell, who will hit the stage after tournament play winds up. The Lynch Mob will take over once McDell finishes her set, taking revellers into the night.
The tournament will start on Thursday, February 28, and wind up on Sunday, March 3.
The concert will be free to ticket-holders attending the whole event, and day passes are available for each day of tournament play.
Saturday day passes include concert admission.
The band features, from left, Nick Lynch, Stacey McDonald, Emma Pullar, Ben Lynch, Marc Hamilton and Tom Lynch.
