The Southland women's golf team has recorded its second win of the interprovincial tournament in Dunedin, thrashing Tasman 5-nil.
Carrrying on from their win over North Harbour yesterday, the team of Robyn Pullar, Angela Gerken, Olivia Frost, Kerry Mariu and Bronwyn O'Brien were in control throughout most of this morning's match at the St Clair golf course.
Pullar beat Emily Stenhouse 4/3, Gerken beat Lesley Baxter 4/3, Frost beat Emily Greenhough 2up, Mariu beat Tracy Bary 5/3 and O'Brien bounced back from trailing by one hole at the halfway mark to win 3/2.
Southland has the bye this afternoon.
In other results this morning, Taranaki edged Aorangi 3-2, while Otago was in a tight battle with tournament favourites Auckland.
