Metro have won the toss and Kaikorai have made a cautious start to the Otago/Southland club knockout competition in Dunedin.

The home team were 23 for two after six overs, with Mark Beer taking both wickets for Metro.

Kaikorai now 63 for three after 20 overs. Beautiful day in Dunedin.

Having gotten through to 76 for three after 25 oevers, Kaikorai look set to launch over the second half of their innings.

Kaikorai continuing to make slow work of it, now 111 for four off 35 overs.

Metro will be chasing 199 for victory after Kaikorai made 198 for eight from their 50 overs. Mark Beer claimed four for 37 from 10 overs, James Crisp two for 27 from eight, with Hamish Cooke and Brayden Lindsay getting one wicket apiece.

Pitch looks to be a decent track, Metro will be looking to make a good start to their chase.

Metro in huge trouble in their run chase, have already slumped to 20 for five.

The visitors have recoverd slightly, are now 60 for six after 25 overs.

It's all over in Dunedin, Metro dismissed for 66. Not a great day.
