Invercargill-based New Zealand track cyclist Steph McKenzie has signed with Team Novo Nordisk.
Previously known as Team Type 1, the Denmark-based team has been put together to educate, empower and inspire people with diabetes.
While the organisation is headed by a professional men's road cycling team, McKenzie is one of about 100 athletes from a range of sports around the world who are also signed to the team.
She is currently in Spain on a team bonding camp, but will return to New Zealand for the summer tomorrow.
McKenzie, a former triple-medallist at junior world championship level, will continue to train as part of the BikeNZ women's sprint programme.
