The New Delhi Players Club won their final game of their Southland/Central Otago tour.
The visiting Indian team has played six games on their tour during the past fortnight and the win yesterday over the Southland XI took their record to five wins and one loss.
The Southland XI - made up of mainly Southland Hawke Cup squad members - batted first and got through to 182 in the 50-over-a-side fixture.
Southland Hawke Cup captain Jason Domigan top-scored with 56, while Rhuebyn Prattley opened the batting and made a patient 34 from 64 balls.
In reply, the New Delhi club team overhauled the target with the loss of seven wickets and four overs to spare.
Saturday's round of club cricket and yesterday's fixture against the touring Indian team marked the return of former Volts player Craig Smith after a break.
Smith is a likely starter for Southland's next fixture, against North Otago in Invercargill this weekend.
Coach Steve Jackson said yesterday that he would likely name his lineup tomorrow to play North Otago.
