Otago Volts allrounder James Neesham has been called into the BLACKCAPs Twenty20 team for tomorrow night's opening ANZ International Series match at Auckland's Eden Park.
The 22-year-old, who was part of the BLACKCAPS side that claimed an historic ODI series victory in South Africa last month, has been called in for the match due to injuries to Ian Butler and Grant Elliott.
Butler suffered an ankle injury in the first New Zealand XI warm-up match against England while Elliott has a quad strain.
Blackcaps physiotherapist Paul Close said both Butler and Elliott would be unavailable for tomorrow night's match.
"However, I'm confident that both Ian and Grant will be available for the second ANZ Twenty20 match in Hamilton on Tuesday night."
