Jimmy Cowan out with injury
Former All Black halfback Jimmy Cowan will miss the remainder of the English rugby season after damaging ligaments in his knee.
The Southlander was carried off during his Gloucester team's 27-11 win over Northampton at Franklin's Gardens on Saturday.
Gloucester director of rugby Nigel Davies has confirmed he will be on the sidelines for the six months.
''He's very positive and just wants to play. He'll do whatever he can to get back sooner than that,'' Davies told BBC Sport.
Cowan, 30, has played 15 games for Gloucester since joining them last year.
