Stags captain Jamie Mackintosh has been cited for allegedly stamping on Waikato reserve back Sam Christie and will front the judiciary this morning.
The alleged offence happened eight minutes from fulltime in Southland's 20-16 win over Waikato in Invercargill on Friday night.
Waikato prop Ben Tameifuna will also face a judicial hearing tomorrow after a separate incident in the same game.
Tameifuna was cited for the same alleged offence, on Mackintosh in the 50th minute of the match.
Both players will appear separately before judicial officer Chris Morris in a video conference.
Southland has already had a player front the judiciary this season with Elliot Dixon cited for a dangerous tackle in their round one win against Tasman.
Dixon was suspended for a week and missed the 13-9 loss to Northland.
