Matt Tautari won the top prize in the Southland matchplay championships at Invercargill Golf Club yesterday, taking out the men's Senior A title.
Qualifying was held on Saturday and it was Tautari who topped the scores when shooting an impressive round of 67 with Nicholas Borren and Alan Sutherland next best with 73.
Tautari then beat Borren in the final of the matchplay tournament with the score five and four.
Jeremy Hall was victorious in the Senior B final winning one up against Tegan Proudfoot.
Other winners included Craig O'Rourke in the intermediate B final, Brandon Hodgson in the senior A plate section and Kayne Wardell in the Senior B plate section.
In the junior men's section Scott Ramsey took out the main title while Wyatt Osment won the plate section.
It was a familiar name that came up trumps in the women's competition with Robyn Boniface beating Angela Gerken in the senior A final.
Gerken was actually the leading player from the qualifying round when she shot 75.
